Manager - Utilities

Responsibilities :

- Monitor operation and Maintenance of Boilers and ancillaries, air compressors (100 PSI compressor, HP compressor, compressor for Electrical breakers).

- Monitoring factory and drinking water supply and distribution, main pipes and headers, collection tanks, operation and maintenance.

- Monitor MIDC water supply and co-ordination with MIDC to get proper supply of water.

- Monitor of water treatment plant, wastewater treatment plant, garden water pipes.

- Operation and maintenance of DG sets.

- Monitoring all pumps, hydraulic pumps, cooling water pumps, Hot water pumps, cold-water pumps, etc.

- Monitor operation and maintenance of all cooling and chilled water/refrigeration systems/AC systems.

- Ensure pressure vessels inspection and certification as per statutory requirement.

- Testing and certification of air receivers and main grid safety valves.

- Supply and distribution of Nitrogen, Nitrogen header and main piping.

- Liaisoning with Boiler inspector, MIDC office, Explosive office, and Factory inspector related to Utilities.

- Implementation of GPER and LOTO system in Utilities.

- Ensure statutory compliance in Utilities.

- To improve stability of utility equipments.

- To check inventory of critical spares.

- Update on stocking items list related to Utilities. Cost control on spares.

- To drive Energy Conservation jobs through out the plant.

- To carry out pump resizing and indigenising jobs.

- To carry out standardisation of utility equipments in the plant.

- To lead process audit work by temperature monitoring, steam trap monitoring, flow monitoring, etc.

- Pursue leak detection and repair program through out the plant.

Authorities :

- Raising requisitions & Releasing

- Decisions related to utilities

- Control of contract manning of department

- AMC's for various equipment

Qualification :

- BE - Production or Mechanical

Technical Skills :

- Knowledge of Boiler & DG

- Knowledge of Pumps & AC units

- Energy conversion methods

Behavioral Skills :

- Leadership Quality

- Communication Skill

- Problem Solving
