Managing Maintenance - Plants and Machines (13-16 yrs)

Introduction : The Client is well known in the Indian and Overseas Markets as manufacturers and exporters of Chucks & Machine Tools along with Fully Finished Forged and Graded Casting Parts being supplied to Major OEMs in Tractor and Automobile Industries in India. The client is considered as one of the best manufacturing units, having in-house advanced technologies to develop and manufacture various Casting, Forging & Machined Components.

Primary Role:

- This role will be responsible for Maintenance of all Plants and Machines along with Utility Equipment and complete industrial housekeeping.

- Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly and annual budgets for breakdown, repair and maintenance, utility and energy consumption, improvement and capital expenditure along with cost control by virtue of minimizing inventory costs and increasing efficiencies.

- Develop and design all processes and SOPs and create standards for maintenance and industrial housekeeping for SCM along with documentation as per ISO/TS 16949: 2009. Build and monitor Preventive Maintenance Schedules and ensure implementation.

- Ensure and execute periodical inspection of all industrial equipment and safety. Review critical items and provide apt solution for preventive maintenance.

- Ensure all activities are documented and compliance met as per quality standards and requirements. Ensure Zero NC (Non-Compliance) on all quarterly and yearly audits conducted.

- The role will need to work alongside other departments to review and propose improvement initiatives enhancing available time of machines and reduction in TAT (Turn Around Time).

- Implementation of tools such as Red Tag through 5S methodology, Kaizens, LEAN, QC circles, PDCA, TPM etc. for quality-based improvement within the function.

- This role will need to lead other employees and set forth a professional culture for others to follow.

Organizational Roles & Responsibilities:

- Work with management and all shop floor staff to ensure smooth operations

- Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships

- Showcase thorough Planning, Organizing and management abilities - Complete Quality Orientation

- Develop, coach and lead teams ensuring spread of influence to other departments

- Monitor and MAINTAIN reports as per requirement to provide necessary information

- DEVELOP manpower and Evaluate training effectiveness

Key Requirements:

- A Mechanical / Electrical Engineering Degree is a must.

- 13 - 16 years overall experience, with at least 7 years Managing Maintenance and industrial housekeeping of a unit or multiple units

- Should have knowledge of CNC, VMC and HMC machining

- Any other additional qualification / certification in Maintenance / Quality will be an added advantage

- Excellent presentation /communication skills

- Functional knowledge of sector is mandatory. Desired experience in handling furnace and cooling towers.

- Excellent analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills with high execution

- Highly developed interpersonal skills with solid negotiation, mediation and diplomatic skills
