Job Description:

- Overall responsible for the HSE & Training Related activities

- To advise and assist the factory management in the fulfilment of its obligations, statutory or otherwise, concerning prevention of personal injuries and maintaining a safe work environment.

- Responsible for all statutory compliance w.r.t Health / Safety& Environment

- Assist on all Training related matters

- Liaison as necessary with other organizations and relevant authorities.

- To inspect and evaluate workplace hazards and recommend and implement safe work practice

- To advise the concerned departments in planning and organizing measures necessary for the effective control of personal injuries

- To advice the purchasing and stores departments in ensuring availability and high quality of personal protective equipment

- To conduct emergency preparedness plan, mock drill and safety committee meeting

- Record industrial injury and occupational disease/ illness cases, accident investigating and root cause, implement corrective action to eliminate their causes

- To investigate all accidents and near-miss incidents

- To test physical hazards at workplace such as noise and lighting and suggest suitable control measures

- Training on good safety practice including use of PPE, safe working and tool box meeting for employees.

- Reporting to Managing Director / Head - HR & Admin

Skill set:

- Male candidate with BE / ME in chemical Engineering with Diploma in Industrial Safety from RLI / CLI

- 8 + yrs experience in a Bulk Drug / API plant out of which at least 2 yrs experience in the similar position

- Knowledge in OHSAS / QMS / EMS/ electrical safety and fire safety

- Excellent human relation and communication skills

- Language skills : Good Tamil & English communication

- Reporting Relationships:This position reports to the Managing Director / Head HR & Admin.
