Manufacturing/Production Head - New Product Development (15-20 yrs)

Manufacturing/Production Head :

Objectives of this role : 


- Head the Planning and Execution of Production and Procurement and Manufacturing Planning Departments to give desired delivery of quality equipment and parts

- Manage Production & Procurement Planning based on Estimation

- Manage Overall Production Schedule of for on-time completion of all orders,

- Update the factory production schedule regularly

- Plan, Co-ordinate and monitor the activities of Manufacturing Planning, Procurement and Workshop so that there is smooth flow with no idle times and optimization of delivery schedules.

- Foresee and Identify and address key concerns that may alter or impact production schedule

- Manage shipping schedule for on-time delivery

Responsibilities :

- Establish timelines for planning, procurement and production - lead the team to meet these goals

- Ensure production and procurement deliveries as per planned schedules

- Assure products meet required quality standards

- Review production reports for actual vs planned for shortfalls and improvements

- Analyse production data and optimize productivity.

- Ensure workers and equipment meet performance and safety requirements

- Watch for hiccups in the process, and look for opportunities to improve operations

- Hire, train, and assess the performance of team members

- Delegate tasks and ask for reviews to ensure desired outcomes

- Communicate with other departments, such as the financial department to establish budgets, HR department to hire new workers, or the logistics department to ensure the delivery of products

Preferred skills and qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in engineering

- 16-20 years of experience in Machine Manufacturing Industry, of which 7 years should be in management capacity

- Prior management and manufacturing experience is a requisite

- Strong communication and organizational skills

- Excellent team-building and interpersonal skills

- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage cross-functional team members

- Technical competencies in manufacturing (e.g. technical drawings, blueprints, CAD/CAM)

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other industry software
