Position Title: Manufacturing Test Engineer/Technologist

Department: Engineering

Functional Unit: Test Engineering

Position Summary:

This position will involve a variety of production and manufacturing test activities and solutions, for both existing and new Client's products. The successful candidate is a versatile team member who uses their skills and knowledge to build and maintain test fixtures, conduct testing and troubleshooting, write test reports, and provide general support to engineering development and production teams.

Specific Duties:

- Identify and troubleshoot issues with products and test stations.

- Periodic maintenance and calibration of test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.

- Assist in the development and improvement of test procedures.

- Collaborate with engineers and production staff to resolve product issues.

- Designs, builds and documents test fixtures, including interface circuits and test racks.

- Evaluates and procures a range of test equipment for production line release.

- Gathers test requirements, analyzes test standards, creates and reviews test plans and procedures.

- Compiles and analyzes test data and specifications from production test stations and prepares reports.

- Conduct GR&R and capability studies on test stations

- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

- Relevant education in Electronics or Electrical Engineering coupled with a minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing or production test environments, or a combination of relevant education and experience.

- Detailed knowledge of test and measurement techniques and equipment, especially in the domain of power electronics.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Use of NI LabView and NI TestStand for programming and controlling test equipment.

- Previous experience designing and building custom and industry standard test fixtures and interfaces.

- Hands-on experience with diverse test and measurement equipment, e.g. AC/DC sources, loads, power meters, oscilloscopes, electrical safety testers, DAQ devices and environmental chambers.

- Demonstrated circuit and schematic analysis and troubleshooting.

- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity in test fixture design.

- Outstanding multitasking abilities and dedication as a team player.

- Ability to travel internationally is preferred.
