Marine Engineer - HVAC (5-14 yrs)
Job Description:
This is a purely Marine-based HVAC design and detailing role.
It's a quite renowned wooden Yacht constructed in 1929. The historical vessel is under refurbishment to make her absolutely glorious. As a part of the same, CAD Marine services is seeking for a technically strong person who is passionate of designing and implementing the HVAC work for the complete yacht. The Yacht has Lower, Main and upper decks. The lower deck is under the waterline. This all about the introduction for the work.
Requirements:
- Calculation of Unit sizes/Cooling load calculations (Not through software): The person should be able to make a detailed calculation taking into consideration all the parameters related to the yacht cabins.
- Equipment selection, designing according to the HVAC requirements, detailing etc.
- Someone who has experience on how to physically present/install the units, plenums, and their positioning on the boat.
- Person should be able to suggest the quantity of insulation that would be required to minimize the energy/power consumption.
