Marks & Spencer - Assistant Manager/Designer - Formal Menswear (3-8 yrs)
Key Deliverables (Essential functions & Responsibilities of the Job) :
- Technical know-how of Formal wear fabrications.
- Proficiency in Formal suiting, Shirting, and bottom fabrics.
- Will be an added benefit if strong in graphics.
- Collaborating with team members to select seasonal themes, make edits to line, and create new concepts.
- Ensuring product is in agreement with business strategy.
- Selecting fabrics and trims.
- Creating production sketches for development packages.
- Collaborating with technical designer to ensure development packages are accurate.
- Reviewing product for style and fit during presentation.
- Presenting story, mood, colour boards, and samples to buyers.
Key Skills :
- Proficient with Microsoft excel, CAD's and Adobe Illustrator
- Open to travel for research and product development
- Ability to do free hand sketches.
- Excellent design and conceptual skills
- Excellent sense of style and colour
- Outstanding Communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to meet multiple deadlines
