Massive Mobility - Project Engineer (2-10 yrs)
A. Project Execution & Installation
- Site Survey & Feasibility: Conduct detailed site assessments (physical and electrical) to determine suitability for EV charger installation (AC & DC).
- Design Review: Review and validate electrical and civil layout drawings, single line diagrams (SLDs), and Bill of Materials (BOM) against site conditions and project scope.
- Installation Oversight: Lead and supervise all on-site installation activities, including civil works, cable laying, panel erection, and charger mounting, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
- Contractor Management: Coordinate and manage vendors, sub-contractors, and site teams to ensure timely and quality execution of work.
B. Electrical & Compliance Management
- Load Analysis & Integration: Conduct electrical load calculations and coordinate with utility providers (DISCOMs) for necessary power supply augmentation and grid interconnection.
- Licensing & Permits: Manage the complete process for obtaining statutory clearances, including:
- Electrical Inspectorate (CEIG/CEI) approval/licensing.
- Coordination and submission of necessary documents to local authorities (e.g., Municipal Corporation, Fire Department).
- Code Compliance: Ensure all installations strictly comply with national (e.g., CEA Regulations, BIS Standards, IS:17017) and local electrical safety codes and regulations.
C. Commissioning & Documentation
- Testing: Perform pre-commissioning and final commissioning tests (including continuity, insulation resistance, earth resistance, and functional checks) of the charging station equipment.
- Handover: Ensure successful activation, network connectivity (e.g., OCPP), and smooth handover of the charging station to the operations team and the client.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project records, including daily progress reports, quality checklists, as-built drawings, test reports, and compliance certificates.
D. Troubleshooting & Safety
- Fault Resolution: Act as the primary technical point of contact for installation and commissioning-related issues, providing immediate troubleshooting and resolution.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to all EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) protocols on site, especially when dealing with high-voltage equipment.
Key Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- Experience: 2 years of experience in project execution, site management, or installation of electrical infrastructure, preferably in the EV or renewable energy sector.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of HT/LT electrical systems, switchgear, transformers, power quality, and protection systems.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Proven experience and successful track record in managing Electrical Inspectorate (CEI/CEIG) licensing and compliance.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Project) and ability to read/interpret CAD drawings.
