Job Profile for Material Expert as follows:

Selecting optimum combination of materials for specific applications eg solar structures, electrical product parts etc (Combination of Materials including ceramics, chemicals, composites, glass, industrial minerals, non-metals, plastics, polymers, rubber, fibre etc)

- Modify existing conventional materials in different ways to improve performance, durability and cost-effectiveness of processes and products.

- Preparing specification, design and development of materials for products of different types, understanding the properties and behaviours of different substances, from raw materials to finished products.

- Third party testing of materials to analyse resistant to heat, corrosion and environmental conditions.

- Preliminary analysis of material behaviour under static and dynamic load using any FEA software eg Solidworks, Ansys etc

- Developing prototypes for checking feasibility

- Supervising quality control throughout the production process.

- Monitoring material behaviour during use.

- To ensure that products comply with national and international quality standards.

- Preparing documentation on inspection, maintenance and repair procedures.

- Considering the costs implications of materials used and alternatives.

Experience: 3-4 Years

Educational qualification:

- M.Tech/ME/M Sc in Materials Science/Metallurgy/Chemical Engineering and BTech/BE/BSs in Chemistry/ Materials Science/Metallurgy
