Mechanical Design Engineer - Injection Molded Plastic/Sheet Metal/Die Cast Components (8-12 yrs)
BE (Mechanical) with minimum 8 years experience in mechanical design
- Hands-on experience of battery testing
- Should have the skills in design & manufacture of Injection Molded Plastic, Sheet Metal and Die-Cast components
- Ability to make mechanical and production drawings
- Ability to use CAD software like SolidWorks / Pro-E / CATIA
- Highly creative and intelligent use of current production methods in designs
- Ability to make thermal calculations and simulation, interpretation of results and integration in design
- Ability to make FEA on mechanical designs for material optimization
- Hands-on experience in automotive quality processes
- Great knowledge and implementation of DFM
- Adequate knowledge of reading data sheets for components
- Strong documentation and writing skills
For the ME, experience in following domains is crucial :
- Mechanical : knowledge of different materials, tools and production methods; DFM; CAD and FEA, various welding technics etc
- Thermal : Thermal calculations and modelling, simulation and interpretation of results.
- Experience in Plastic molding
