Job description:
The Static Equipment Design Engineer is responsible for the design, analysis, and specification of static equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, reactors, and other non-rotating equipment used in industrial plants, particularly in the oil & gas, petrochemical, and energy industries. The role involves ensuring equipment compliance with industry standards, project requirements, and safety regulations.
Design & Engineering:
1.Develop detailed designs and specifications for static equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, etc.) based on project requirements.
2. Perform calculations and simulations to determine the optimal materials, dimensions, and operational parameters for equipment.
3. Create and review detailed engineering drawings, technical data sheets, and design reports.
4. Ensure compliance with applicable design codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, TEMA, PD5500).
Experience:
1. 5+ years of experience in the design and engineering of static equipment in industries such as oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical processing, or energy.
2. Familiarity with design codes like ASME Section VIII, API 650/660, and TEMA standards.
3. Experience with design software such as PV Elite, Caesar II, ANSYS, or equivalent.
