Job Summary :

- As the Mechanical Design SME for R&D, you will be in-charge of reviewing all mechanical designs and calculations for all the products that Falcon R&D team is designing or improving. 

- This role will be at the centre of all innovation and new development happening in Falcon and will give insights to all aspects of product development.

Job Responsibilities :

- Be a part of the new product development efforts of Falcon to ensure world class, good quality and cost-effective products

- Reviewing all new concepts and remain involved from initial design to market release

- Investigate and evaluate existing products for improvement

- Reviewing ergonomics and aesthetic appeal of products through proper design

- Be a part of all improvement initiatives for Falcon's existing product lines by observing issues and opportunities for better design

- Co-ordinate with electrical and assembly teams to continuously improve designs and feedback on tested products.

- Split product into different phases and speed up product prototyping

Educational Qualification:

B.Tech/M. Tech in Mechanical Engineering with a good college.

Experience Required :

- 10-14 years in relevant field of Automotive / Material Handling

Skills & Knowledge Required :

- Must have knowledge of bearings, sensors, pneumatic actuators, hydraulics, Induction and servo motors and conveyor components

- Core knowledge of machine design is required

- Must know about Geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T)

- Theoretical calculation base should be strong

- Should have basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft word

- Knowledge of motor components and electricals is must.

- Knowledge of conveyors, sorters, Robots and packaging machines is an added advantage

- Global exposure is an added advantage.

- Knowledge of SPM machines is an added advantage
