Educational Qualification

SSC / HSC

2 years NCVT ( National council vocational training) in Drafting - Mechanical stream from ITI / Diploma in Mechanical

Computer skills

AutoCAD

3D software ( Autodesk Inventor, Auto Plant 3D, Solid works )

Knowledge of MS office

Experience

Minimum 15 to 20 years- experience mainly in Strip processing lines.

2 to 3 years as Drawing Manager/ Checker in engineering company involved in steel and aluminum plants engineering, manufacturing, erection, start up and commissioning (especially Strip Processing Lines - SPL). It is better if the company has its own workshop.

12 to 17 years involved in drafting/ designing in areas like Mechanical, structural, piping, foundation detailing with good knowledge about geometrical tolerances for strip processing lines. Out of which min 3 years- experience should be on field either in manufacturing facility or site erection for strip processing lines.

Skills & Responsibilities

- Preparing schedules, man-hour estimates & resource planning, and maintaining Status reports for drawing office.

- Capability to lead a group of Draftsmen to complete assigned work in stipulated time.

- Cooperate and interact with manufacturers, EQC persons, site supervisor for input required based on NCR reports and correct the drawings, put necessary notes on drawings.

- Cooperate and interact with Intercompany BU's drawing managers/ engineers for collecting inputs required to complete drawings.

- Strip processing lines SPL (including slitting lines, cut-to-length lines, tension levelling lines, pickling lines, Electrolytic cleaning lines, Color coating lines and Galvanizing line) process and mechanical equipment basic & detailed engineering knowledge.

- Indian, Chinese, European, Japanese, US mechanical standards knowledge (Euro norms, ISO, UNI, IEC, etc.)

- Design/modeling/detailing Strip processing equipment and machinery including Roll former, Flattener, Uncoiler, Recoiler, Shear, Turnstile, Coil Car, Pinch Roll, Feed Roll, Peeler Table, Stacker & Conveyor, Accumulators, steering units, Briddles using SolidWorks, Autodesk INVENTOR and AutoCAD.

- Design line foundation layouts, General assemblies and details with corresponding bill of materials.

- Design/detailing standards of line entry/exit end equipment and machinery

- Knowledge of hydraulics, Grease and pneumatics for SPL equipment.

- Technically assisting production and field service procedures.

- Knowledge of the most important process of mechanical equipment manufacturing (cutting, welding, sheet forming, drilling, assembling, etc.) and of the relevant requested machines. This skill is necessary for:

- Better understanding the manufacturing sequences by possible suppliers.

- Controlling the quality of manufacturing, according to the standards by taking care of the same in drawings.

- Fluent English, written and spoken.
