Mechanical Engineer - AHU Design (5-12 yrs)
Objective / Purpose of duty:
- Understand the mechanical design requirement for HVAC equipment like Air Handling Units (AHU), VRF, PAC, RAC, etc.
- System and component Design, Develop complete HVAC products based on design requirements, Review, verification and validation
Main responsibilities:
- Understand the mechanical design requirement for HVAC equipment like Air Handling Units (AHU), PAC, RTU
- System/ component Design and Developing complete AHU, RTU, PAC based on design requirements,
- Review, verification and validation
- Responsible for all aspects of mechanical design requirements of AHU, RTU, PAC
- Analysis and evaluating engineering designs, review drawings, preparing Bill of material
- Ensuring quality and timeliness design release
- Coordinate with production team for necessary product changes
- Training and technical mentoring of the team
- Work with CAD design team for 3D Modelling,
KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of HVAC equipment's like AHUs, VRF, PAC, RAC, Dedicated outside Air Systems, Heat pumps etc.
- Knowledge of ASHRAE standards
- Knowledge of Psychometrics, Thermodynamics and Refrigeration Cycles, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Systems and Components (compressors, heat exchangers, fans and blowers, refrigerants,, construction materials, safety devices, etc.), HVAC&R Design
- Knowledge of DFMEA(Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis)and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance)
- Knowledge of sheet metal part and assembly modeling
SKILLS:
- 3D/2D CAD Design, Inventor
- System selection/ Mechanical design
- Project development process
Software Knowledge :
- Working proficiency in the CAD (2D & 3D) software - preferably ProE/Creo
