Mechanical Engineer - R&D (8-12 yrs)
We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Mechanical Engineer - R&D to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate must have knowledge of Fans, Vacuum pumps.
Core competency in vacuum pumps and Fan will be a top priority.
Should have knowledge of
Product Design - and manufacturing feasibility using sheet metal, plastics, die cast, welding
- Knowledge of types of materials and material selection approach.
- Vehicle integration, testing and validation
- CAD and Modelling - 3D part modelling & Assembly, 2D drawings, Digital Mock Ups, CAD data management.
- Analysis & Verification - GD&T, Stackup Analysis, Design Verification and calculation (DVP&R), Root cause analysis.
- Documentation - BOM, DFMEA, Design Review, ECN
Skills - Autocad, Creo, PTC, Windchill PLM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop new mechanical components, systems, and products for [industry - e.g., automotive, aerospace, medical devices, consumer electronics].
- Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and mechanical testing to validate concepts.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers, industrial designers, and manufacturing teams to ensure product functionality and manufacturability.
- Build and test prototypes, analyze data, and iterate designs based on test results.
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies, materials, and processes.
- Participate in design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and technical presentations.
- Support patent development, technical documentation, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical design and manufacturing issues.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred for advanced R&D roles).
- Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with prototyping, machining, or additive manufacturing is a plus.
