Job Title : Supervisor DS Mechanical Maintenance

Position Titles : Supervisor.

Support,Section Head, Mechanical Maintenance.

As Required.

General Summary:

Manage the maintenance activities of HSM in order to achieve the assigned targets such as minimize plant down time and increase the mill availability & consumption of spares with cost consciousness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Leadership and Guidance : To lead a group of Sr. Technician & Technician (instruction and guidance to Sr. Technician & Technician) and participate in quality in maintenance related development for defined standards. To motivate Mechanical Maintenance (HSM) Section workforce to achieve department planned objectives.

Production Management and Involvement:

- To execute all scheduled (day-to-day, preventive) maintenance, corrective maintenance and major repairs of the equipments in order to optimize production & minimize plant down time with quality in maintenance related development for defined standards. Involved in RM mechanical maintenance related problem in order to minimise the production downtime

Control Trouble Shooting :

- Responsible for trouble shooting during breakdowns of mechanical equipment and to find out the root cause for corrective action to oversee quality of maintenance related development for defined standards

Facilitate Solutions :

- Responsible for attending to quality of mechanical maintenance through defined standards to address problems during breakdowns in the HSM area. To communicate to superiors of any abnormalities found in the mill in order to plan & rectify the same.

- Monitoring & Inspecting : Inspection of spares and certify them as per specifications ensuring quality of maintenance related development to meet defined standards.

Expertise Coalition :

- To assist and help the Section Head Mechanical Maintenance in all technical areas to ensure smooth maintenance of the RM4 for uninterrupted production and co-ordination with other departments.

- Plan, organize and coordinate the repair and maintenance program of Rolling Mill Plant. Report any problem affecting the production to the superiors to ensure proper information flow and speedy resolution.

Overseeing Procurement & Standards :

- Follow mechanical maintenance standards for all (HSM) equipment for Planning and procurement of spares requirement.

Policies and Procedures Implementation :

- To follow all relevant safety, quality, health and environmental management policies, procedures applicable for quality of mechanical maintenance in Rolling Mill Plant to meet defined standard.

Minimum Education Qualifications (Must Haves)

- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from recognised university

Any preferred professional training (Nice to have)

- Technical knowledge of predictive & preventive maintenance.

- Understanding of engineering drawings and Hydraulic circuits.

Professional Experience (Must haves) :

- 2-3 Years in practical implementation of Mechanical Maintenance jobs as Technician in Steel Plant.

- 5-6 years experience Rolling Mill and Mechanical Maintenance in Supervisory or equivalent category.

- 3 Years experience in a middle level Managerial Position

- Previous Experience/exposure Recommendations (Nice to have)

Rolling Mill.

- Manage personnel Health, Safety and Environment for Zero accidents to be incurred .

- Oversee cost minimization for least mechanical repairs, maintenance and downtime.

- Administer availability of Rolling Mill through scheduling and preparing plant and equipments

- Implement corrective action for prompt clarification, resolutions and results of problems

- Ensure alteration of examined equipment for smooth transition and production
