Mechanical Program Lead - Coatings (5-10 yrs)
- Position will be owning, executing & realizing results per allocated project & contribute to short-term & long-term dept. goals & objectives. These projects would be driven as part of New Product Development (NPD), Continuous Improvement Programs (CIP), cost reduction and/or reliability improvement initiatives.
- Understanding & attaining execution of all business processes, standards & compliances, and best practices.
- Effectively working in the matrix organization by aligning with all stakeholders without compromising on - Quality, Delivery & Cost (QDC)- to meet dept.
- Leading & realizing project or program commitments consistent with established business processes & by adhering to all engineering due diligence (DFMA, DFMEA, tolerance, calculations, FEA - static & dynamic, DFX)
- Responsible & accountable for executing medium to high complex sub-system related projects with full ownership & continually works to expand ownership on adjacent modules by acquiring new capabilities.
- Drive change by contributing to productivity and or to differentiate products & processes - by working on continuous improvement & innovations.
- Ability to address and resolve customer escalations, field problems including troubleshooting, containment actions, failure analysis report & corrective actions.
- Provide technical leadership, coaching & mentoring to enable engineers in the team to meet job expectations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 to 10+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree (Mech); or a Master's degree (Thermal / Materials) with 5 to 8+ years- experience
- Extremely knowledgeable using 3D CAD tools NX, etc.
- Hands on experience of product design and development experience with capital equipment or similar comprising of thermo-mechanical, electro-mechanical, systems of high complexity with execution knowledge of NPD development & associated engineering due diligence
- Demonstrated ability to deliver design reviews, understanding of various stages of product development processes and ability to work in collaboration with stakeholders in a matrix org.
- Effective in solving engineering (Thermo-mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, pneumatically actuated) problems involving flow, pressure, thermal -cycling, heater duty cycles, through DOE, testing & statistical approach to arrive at design decisions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Semiconductor industry experience is not required, but a plus
- Product engineering experience in SEMI & in specific design contributions to Etch chamber, vacuum systems, gas delivery, knowledge on elastomers, plasma chemistry, RF compatible material of choices and heat transfer related fluid material compatibility.
- Exposure and working knowledge of Team Centre and NX or any other CAD tool, SAP PLM release process, product structure and configurations.
- Good understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, equipment, industry standards ((SEMI, OSHA, ASME etc.))
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present design concepts to peers and management seeking key decision to implement newer designs.
