Mechanical Technician (4-16 yrs)
We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Mechanical Technician with hands-on experience in plant maintenance and machinery handling. The ideal candidate will have a background in the cement or ceramic industry and be proficient in maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment such as:
Ball mills
Screw conveyors
Conveyor belts
Gearboxes
Bucket elevators
Valves
- Conduct vibration monitoring and basic condition monitoring
- Assist in equipment installation, alignment, and overhauling
- Ensure equipment availability and performance with minimum downtime
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintenance SOPs
- Maintain records of maintenance activities and report issues proactively
- Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to support continuous plant operations
Requirements
- ITI certification in Fitter trade
- Minimum 4 years of experience in mechanical maintenance
- Preferably from cement, ceramic, or similar heavy industry background
- Good understanding of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, and material handling systems
- Knowledge of industrial safety practices and PPE compliance
