Job Title: Fire Fighting Mechanical Technician

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Fire Fighting Mechanical Technician with expertise in troubleshooting digital fire protection control panels. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years' experience in electrical diesel engine systems and a solid background in mechanical engineering. Holding a diploma or industrial technical certificate in mechanical engineering is required for this position. The Fire Fighting Mechanical Technician will play a critical role in ensuring the functionality and reliability of fire protection systems, thereby contributing to the safety and security of our facilities.

Responsibilities:

Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of fire protection systems, including digital control panels, to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.

Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with digital fire protection control panels, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions promptly.

Perform preventive maintenance tasks on electrical diesel engines to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.

Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to develop and implement maintenance plans and strategies for fire protection systems.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs, documenting findings and recommendations for future reference.

Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements related to fire protection systems and diesel engine operations.

Assist in the installation and commissioning of new fire protection equipment and systems as needed.

Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times, promoting a culture of safety awareness and compliance within the organization.

Provide training and support to junior technicians and maintenance personnel as required.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years' experience in troubleshooting digital fire protection control panels and electrical diesel engine systems.

Diploma or industrial technical certificate in mechanical engineering or a related field.

Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical components of fire protection systems.

Strong understanding of diesel engine operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.

Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines and objectives.

Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency situations as needed.

Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and best practices in fire protection and mechanical engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in fire protection engineering or related field.

Experience working with fire suppression systems, sprinkler systems, and other fire protection equipment.

Familiarity with industry-standard software and tools used in fire protection and mechanical engineering.

Previous experience in a maintenance or technical support role within the fire protection or industrial sector.
