MEP Design Engineer (0-3 yrs)
Design and coordinate the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for buildings, ensuring they are functional, efficient, and compliant with relevant codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
System Design:
Develop comprehensive design concepts for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, considering project requirements and client specifications.
Detailed Design:
- Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and calculations for MEP systems, ensuring they meet building codes and project requirements.
Equipment Selection:
- Select appropriate MEP equipment, ensuring it meets performance standards and cost-effectiveness.
Coordination:
- Collaborate with other engineers, architects, and contractors to integrate MEP systems into the overall building design.
BIM Modeling:
- Utilize design software and tools to create 2D and 3D models, schematics, and construction drawings.
Energy Efficiency:
- Evaluate and implement energy-efficient solutions for MEP systems.
Project Management:
- Participate in project meetings, site visits, and quality control checks throughout the construction process.
Troubleshooting:
- Analyze and resolve MEP design problems, ensuring efficient and safe system operation.
Documentation:
- Prepare project documentation, including technical specifications, operation and maintenance manuals, and as-built drawings.
Compliance:
- Ensure MEP systems comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
