Merchandiser - Fashion Retail/Buying House (2-6 yrs)
Job Description :
- Textile Engineer with 2 - 6 Years experience in Fashion Retail/Buying House
- Exposure to CAD/CAM will be advantageous
- Experience in Foreign Procurement will be advantageous
- Experience in Product Development, Prototype/Sample Production and Bulk Production is mandatory, including Sourcing of Raw Materials/ Components
- Undertake sampling development in time bound manner based on specifications/MSDS, starting from raw materials/component sourcing to finished products
- The core objective will be to develop a product which is feasible in production, achieve target cost & suggest alternate solutions to design if required
- Evaluate all prototypes & samples to ensure details and workmanship are correct, materials used fall within the required costing structure and all test parameters are me
- Be proactive in working with suppliers to generate new ideas and materials for enhanced product creation and innovation
- Responsible for all record keeping to link MSDS and Approved components/vendors/lab reports for all Items of product range/developed range
- Obtaining Quotations for Buy Requirements, both direct and in-direct
- Comparing Quotations for technical compliance and suitability acceptance
- Issuing Purchase Orders and following up on timely delivery and payment release
- Coordinate with Inventory Executive to ensure necessary Inventory Records and Stock Balances are maintained
- Excellent knowledge and networking in industry for on-time sourcing of various raw materials/components
