Mid CAD Telecom Designer (3-6 yrs)
About the Company:
They are a mobile phone site surveying company working with major UK providers. They attend sites throughout the UK to complete acquisition and scoping surveys for upgrades to sites.
What You'll Do:
As an Intermediate CAD Telecom Designer, you will work independently on a range of telecom site design packs and provide support to both junior and senior designers. You will be expected to produce high-quality deliverables with minimal supervision.
- Create 2D CAD drawings for telecom sites based on survey data and client specifications
- Interpret redline markups, engineer sketches, and photographs accurately
- Apply and maintain drawing standards for major UK operators
- Coordinate with surveyors and project managers to clarify requirements
- Support junior designers and review their output before senior QA
- Keep project records up to date and file appropriately
What We- re Looking For:
- 2- 5 years- experience in CAD telecom design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and good drawing production habits
- Understanding of telecom infrastructure (e.g., monopoles, rooftop sites, Greenfields)
- Good grasp of UK operator design standards (e.g. Vodafone, CTIL, MBNL,Cellnex)
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and visual clarity in drawings
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Good grasp of English language
