This is both a strategic and operational role with clear focus on team building, vendor coordination, execution control, and cost-quality balance. You will drive product delivery from concept through to mass production in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Team & Leadership :

- Take ownership of team development - recruiting, mentoring, and retaining high-performing engineering talent.

- Establish strong engineering discipline through structured reviews, milestone tracking, and technical guidance.

- Drive a culture of accountability, speed, and collaboration across the team.

Product Development & Execution :

- Oversee end-to-end electronics development for products involving PCBAs, modules, flex circuits, sensors, and power systems.

- Track execution across EVT, DVT, and PVT stages, ensuring timely closure of deliverables and issue resolution.

- Conduct technical reviews and guide architecture decisions with a focus on modularity, manufacturability, and cost.

- Manage engineering schedules, budgets, and risk plans in alignment with business and product goals.

Vendor & Program Management

- Coordinate with global EMS/ODM partners and component suppliers for timely delivery and quality adherence.

- Integrate external development efforts into internal project schedules and ensure alignment on specifications.

- Evaluate and manage supplier capabilities for scaling up to production volumes.

- Collaborate with sourcing and supply chain teams on BOM optimization, sourcing alternatives, and compliance.

Techno-Commercial Ownership

- Act as a bridge between engineering execution and business priorities.

- Participate in trade-off discussions balancing cost, quality, performance, and timelines.

- Collaborate with product and marketing teams to validate concepts and prototypes.

- Support documentation, certification, and shipment readiness for global markets.

Required Experience & Skills:

- 8- 15 years of experience in electronics hardware development with at least 3- 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.

- Proven track record of shipping consumer-facing electronics products in significant volumes.

- Strong understanding of PCBA, flex circuits, embedded electronics, sensors, and wireless technologies (BLE, Wi-Fi, etc.).

- Experience managing the full lifecycle of hardware programs - from design through mass production.

- Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and global supplier/ODM engagements.

- Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

- Familiarity with DFM, cost engineering, and regulatory/compliance frameworks.
