MPlastics - Product Engineering Lead (12-18 yrs)

- Product Engineering Lead will be responsible for converting New Toy Product Design concepts into real working products which will involve Feasibility Study and Design Optimization and Technical Support for,

- Fit and Function

- Child Safety Requirements & Regulations

- Material Selection

- Manufacturing

- Assembly

- DFM, DFA & DFMEA

- Deco painting and printing

- Texture and Tooling Feasibility

- Wall thickness and weight optimization

- Rib Designs and Strength optimization

- Snaps and Bolting joints design

- Ultra Sonic Welding feature design

- Electronic functions design

- Sink marks & moulding defects analysis

- Tooling Ready CAD preparation

- Final Prototype building

- Play value Validation and Testing

Preparing Technical Specifications including,

- Product Specs, CMF and BOM

- Test Plan and Compliance Documentation

- Tool Plan

- Packaging Design and Shelf Space Optimization

- Product Cost Optimization

Capability:

Be able to design new Toy products in various categories Perform Reverse Engineering and re-design the products for improvement of function, performance, and play value. Be able to independently work on designs as well as lead the team of Engineers Provide technical support for costing, tooling and production activities

Experience:

- 12-15 years of experience in Industrial design of Plastic Products in Automotive / Consumer Electronics / Home Appliances / Electrical and Electronics / Power Tools / FMCG etc.

- Must have market knowledge about various categories of Toys and how they are made.

- Must have knowledge about electronic functionalities generally used in Toys

- Must have thorough knowledge about plastic materials and manufacturing processes such as Injection moulding

- Must have hands-on experience in CAD modelling using software such as NX CAD, Solid Works, Fusion 360 etc, Rhino CAD etc.

- Must have experience in understanding Engineering drawings, GD & T, DFM, BOM, & 2D drawings.

- Must have good communication skills.

Qualification:

- Diploma / Degree / Masters in Product Design / Mechanical Eng. / Industrial Design or Injection Mould Design

- Reporting: Head of Product Desig
