Who we are looking For:

- Senior Design Engineer with proven expertise in conceptualizing and developing mechanical systems, specializing in SPMs, plastic and industrial enclosures and chassis designs.

- Demonstrates strong analytical capabilities in performing and reviewing engineering calculations, structural analysis, and design validations. 


- Proficient in defining GD&T and tolerance specifications based on functional requirements, ensuring optimal component performance and manufacturability. Brings hands-on experience in transforming complex design concepts into production-ready solutions while maintaining engineering excellence.

Experience: 7 to 10 Year Experience

Responsible for transforming product concepts into manufacturable solutions through:

- Concept generation and evaluation (Free body drawing, Design constrain understanding, Concept visualization, and Quick concept generation, down selection matrix)

- Detailed engineering design (Engineering calculation, Material selection, Component Selection, Joint Design, GD&T and tolerance stack up)

- Technical analysis and validation (FEA, Engineering Calc and analysis)

- Manufacturing process understanding and DFM (Sheet metal, welding, machining etc)

- Design for assembly and production (DFA, Poke Yoke concepts, Assembly time etc)

- Engineering drawings and documentation (2D component drawings, Assembly Drawings, Operation and maintenance manual)

- Must demonstrate proven ability to take projects from initial concept through final production release, with expertise in both creative conceptualization and rigorous technical implementation.

Tools: Proficient in SolidWorks (Parts, Assemblies, 2D Drawings, and Routing) with experience handling large CAD assemblies.

- Skilled in PLM tools like Windchill and Teamcenter, with knowledge of ECN, ECR, and design release processes.

What you will do here:

- Serves as a technical point of contact for assigned work package scope and may serve as a focal point for all communications related to scope.

- Develops engineering designs for the given work package from concept to 2d drawing and implementation of the changes on product.

- Will be responsible for all the engineering deliverables like CAD design, Engineering calculations, Tolerance stack up, 2d Drawing and engineering presentation.

- Should be able to take the design through the design review gate process and should be responsible for presenting and making sure engineering design is released on time.

- Will be responsible for judging and analyzing the Load-bearing structures and analyzing them using analytical calc and FEA tools when needed.

- Will be responsible for selection of engineering components like fasteners, bearings, keys, O-rings and gaskets, Springs

- Will be responsible for developing comprehensive GD&T schemes and tolerance stack up for precision assemblies

- Uses analytical and risk evaluation tools to expose root causes and defines counter measures.

- Using robust design tools like Pugh Matrix, DFM/DFA, DFMEA, DFS effectively for design finalization

- Coordinate with several functional teams to progress the design work and meet the design intent.

- Implementation and testing of proto designs when needed to prove the design

- Mentoring junior engineers in design best practices
