TITLE: Graduate Engineer Trainee (PCB/ECAD design engineer)

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Domain proficiency in the field of Footprint creation and Symbol creation to support verification and creation of footprints for the ECAD/GES electrical team.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Overall experience of 0 to 2 years in PCB design/Footprint creation

- Knowledge of basic electronic circuits and electronic and mechanical components.

- Supporting internal/external teams in providing all kinds of Engineering services per team requirements.

- Footprint creation as per IPC standards

- Schematic creation / Entry, Footprint (Library Creation & Management)

- Board outline and mechanicals, Importing Netlist, Design Rule settings

- Component Placement, PCB Routing, Post-processing, and Gerber Settings

- Incorporate PCB modifications to the existing product as requested primarily via engineering change orders.

- knowledge of EDA CAD tools preferably Cadence or Altium.

- knowledge of IPC-7351.

- Ability to search the Internet to locate datasheets, footprints, and 3D models.

- Ability to effectively communicate with engineering, manufacturing, and purchasing groups.

- Ability to work with component manufacturers and suppliers to obtain additional information.

- Knowledge of 3D mechanical software, SolidWorks, or NX, a plus but not required.

- Participate in design review meetings & provide appropriate recommendations if necessary.

- Meeting with clients and the software design team to determine software specifications.

- Good communication skills and the ability to project manage.

- Should practice MBM Guiding principles in a consistent manner
