O&M Technician - Wind Energy (3-6 yrs)
Purpose of the role -
Within the function as technician, responsibility over preventive and corrective tasks guaranteeing quality and safety on the process with the objective of assuring a good performance of the wind turbines
Job profile -
- Assure zero accidents culture
- Analyse defects
- Autonomously carry out simple repairs of turbines, troubleshooting and fault finding
- Carry out complex repair - processes in collaboration with the local trainer / dispatcher
- Ensure compliance of planned maintenance / inspection activities
- Fill in reports and checklists in order to completely inform Service Area Manager
- Inform customer in case of works on turbine
- Carry out repairs or exchange of main components
- Responsibility over inventory of spare parts stock
- Standard monitoring of booked service reports and steering of service process to book expenses correctly
- Guarantee that tasks are undertaken with safety consideration, high quality and on time
- Undertake tasks in the most economical way
- Responsible for material, tools and property of the company
- Carry out tasks in accordance with applicable manuals and regulations
- Uphold and comply with all H&S related instructions and guidelines. Work safely for material and personnel
- Guide and advice other technicians on best practices and procedures
- Be the liason between site and head office
- Proactive approach to maintenance activities
- Support operations regarding lift maintenance and operations
- Communicate and keep customer aware of any deviations for complex planned site activities in conjunction with the Service area manager.
- This role reports to Site Manager
Qualification - Diploma Mechanical Engineering or BE in Mechanical
Complementary training -
- MS Office ( Word, excel, power pt u Outlook)
- GWO and working at heights is a must
- Wind Turbine Troubleshooting and preventive Maintenance experience will be an added advantage
