One City - Operations Manager - Automation (2-3 yrs)

Job Description :


- Manage the daily operations of the Automation business in accordance with Company policy, governmental legislation, and quality service goals, through the effective and efficient use of its financial, capital, and human resources.


- Total responsibility for internal day-to-day operations of regional or national Weatherford facility, overseeing resources, inventory, P&L, cost structures, and all equipment orders

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Manage a staff of supervisors to ensure timely distribution of automation merchandise within the standards of budget, policies, procedures, and quality to satisfy the requirements of Weatherford divisions.

- Generate field level sales by calling on new customers, potential customers and maintaining good relationships with old customers in the region, Working closely with the Software Sales team for integrated solutions.

- Design and prepare bids for all services and products.

- Has direct or indirect responsibility for all personnel at location.

- Determine need for equipment and supplies and maintains appropriate levels of inventory

- Schedules employees and team leads and is responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of their work, reports and expenses.

- Oversee general maintenance of equipment and facility.

- Recognize problems and improvements needed, develop solutions and implement programs and procedures to increase production and provide input as to changing market conditions of customers to assist in the development of the marketing strategy

- Maintain adequate, trained and motivated staff of district personnel and insure compliance with Company personnel policies and all governmental health, safety and fair employment practices.

- Approves all financial documents for accuracy including purchase orders, invoices, expense reports and petty cash transactions.

- Submit all required reports on a timely basis.

- Develop strategies to process and control merchandise flow within facilities

- With assistance from HR: recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action.

- Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.

- Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.

- Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.

- Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

QUALIFICATIONS :

- Proficient verbal and written communication skills

- Advanced computer skills

- Strong leadership and quality skills

- Understanding of budgetary process and fiscal responsibility requirements

- Ability to work effectively under pressure

- Should complete product line specific Weatherford training

- Multi-tasking ability

- Advanced knowledge of all Weatherford products and services

- Should be able to work closely with fellow employees

- Valid driver's license
 
- Automation equipment knowledge.

- Ability to drive Automation business

- The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.

Preferred : Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field
