Job Title: Onsite Electrical Engineer

Location: Orissa

Compensation: As per Industry standard

Experience: 6-7 Years

Job Summary: The onsite electrical engineer is responsible for, tender review, quality control, implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical systems and process equipment on-site. The Candidate should ensure that electrical systems meet design specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements while optimizing performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design Review:

- Reviewing electrical design drawings, specifications, and plans to ensure compliance with project requirements, codes, and standards.

- Providing input and recommendations for design improvements, cost optimization, and energy efficiency.

2. Tender Review:

- Reviewing electrical tender documents, including bids, proposals, and contracts, to evaluate technical specifications, pricing, and terms.

- Collaborating with procurement teams to select qualified vendors and subcontractors for electrical works.

3. Quality Control:

- Implementing quality control processes for electrical systems and process equipment installation, ensuring adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and quality assurance protocols.

- Conducting inspections, tests, and audits to verify the quality and performance of electrical installations.

4. Implementation Oversight:

- Supervising the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and process equipment on-site, coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and project teams.

- Ensuring proper integration of electrical systems with process equipment and overall facility infrastructure.

5. Troubleshooting and Maintenance:

- Addressing technical issues, troubleshooting electrical systems and process equipment, and proposing solutions to resolve problems encountered during construction and operation.

- Developing maintenance plans and schedules for electrical systems and equipment post-project completion, conducting preventive maintenance, repairs, and upgrades as needed.

6. Documentation and Reporting:

- Maintaining detailed records of electrical work, including design review reports, tender review documentation, inspection reports, test results, maintenance logs, and as-built drawings.

- Providing regular progress reports, status updates, and technical documentation to project stakeholders, management, and regulatory authorities.

7. Safety Compliance:

- Enforcing electrical safety protocols, guidelines, and regulatory requirements to ensure a safe working environment for electrical installation teams and facility occupants.

- Conducting safety inspections, risk assessments, and hazard mitigation measures as needed.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

- Relevant experience in electrical engineering, design review, tender review, quality control, and project management.

- Knowledge of electrical systems, process equipment, codes, standards, and best practices.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Proficiency in electrical design software, project management tools, and MS Office Suite.

- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects in a dynamic construction environment
