Operation Head - Crusher Plant (12-15 yrs)
Position: Operation Head - Crusher Plant
Designation - AGM / Sr. Manager (Techno-Commercial)
Location: Odisha (Project Site)
Reporting To: Plant Head / Director
Experience: 15+ Years from Mining, Iron Ore industry.
Role Overview:
The Crusher Head will be responsible for overseeing the complete operations of the crusher plant, ensuring optimal production efficiency, maintenance, and cost-effective utilization of resources while also handling commercial aspects such as vendor management, cost optimization, and technical procurement. The role is techno-commercial in nature and requires deep expertise in both technical operations and cost control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire operations of the crusher plant (primary, secondary & tertiary crushing units).
- Ensure maximum uptime of equipment through proper planning and preventive/predictive maintenance.
- Monitor daily production targets and ensure desired quality and quantity of output.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
- Maintenance & Technical Management:
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules for all crushing and screening equipment.
- Monitor performance and condition of machinery - conveyors, jaw crushers, cone crushers, screens, motors, gearboxes, etc.
- Coordinate with OEMs and service providers for repairs, AMC, and spares planning.
- Commercial & Cost Control:
- Prepare and manage budgets for crusher operations and maintenance.
- Track and analyze operational costs to identify areas for cost reduction.
- Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers and contractors for equipment, spares, and services.
- Coordinate with procurement team for techno-commercial evaluations of machinery and services.
