Operations Manager - IC Programming (5-10 yrs)

Our client is a European MNC that is a globally renowned distributor of IT components. For the first time, they are setting up a facility in Bangalore, India to perform IC Programming for an Auto Customer. They need an Operations Manager in Bangalore to start the IC programming at the customer's facility managing a team of handful Operators and Production Supervisors to program 1.4mn Micro-controllers and flash memory chips per year.

Reporting into the COO (based out of Europe) and initially managing a team of 3 operators and then growing the team to 15 which will be a mix of operators and production supervisors, you will be responsible for:

- Developing and maintaining properly controlled IC programming centre in Bangalore.

- Proper upkeep of company plant and equipment including liaising with equipment suppliers, preventative maintenance programs etc.

- Identifying and justifying new capital expenditure requirements.

- Growing the team multifolds by hiring and managing all staff in responsible region.

- Working with sales team to help develop new customer business and maintain good relationships with existing customers.

- Ensuring good communication with clients.

- Ensuring work is produced in line with deadlines.
