Role : Industrial Engineer / Process Excellence Manager

Compensation : INR 15-20 LPA

Industry Target : Manufacturing, Logistics, Retail, Food Processing, QSR

In a newly created role, the individual will play a key role in identifying and resolving operational bottlenecks across our central kitchen, manufacturing units and stores. You will apply core industrial engineering principles to streamline processes, enhance productivity, and embed scalable, data-backed improvements across functions.

This is a high-impact role with visibility to leadership and the opportunity to build the foundation for an engineering function from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities :

- Conduct detailed process mapping and identify inefficiencies across key production areas (e.g., marination, kebab making, rice handling).

- Design and implement process improvement initiatives, including equipment upgrades, layout optimizations, and centralized workstations.

- Develop use cases and pilot basic technology interventions, such as load cells, digital weighing systems, and sensor-based controls, to enhance precision and throughput.

- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (operations, manufacturing, and product) to test, implement, and standardize process improvements.

- Track and report measurable improvements in output, yield, productivity, and quality.

- Contribute to long-term planning for a future-ready engineering and manufacturing setup.

Must-Have :

- Proficient in process mapping tools (e.g., value stream mapping, time-motion studies) and industrial design techniques.

- Exposure to few of the industrial engineering tools such as value stream mapping (VSM), line balancing, SMED, 5S, Kanban systems, and root cause analysis methods (RCA, Fishbone, 5 Why), along with IE documentation (operation bulletins, takt time calculations, productivity reports), field training/support, and layout tools like AutoCAD and Visio.

- Strong ability to work with process and operations data to drive decisions.

Tech Orientation : Understanding of how automation, IoT, and digital tools can improve manufacturing or kitchen operations. Hands on experience in SQL, Python or any tech language is a big plus.

Education : Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Production, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Eligibility / Experience : Minimum 7+yrs experience in the Food sector, QSR, FMCG & Retail.
