Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented PCB Designer with a minimum of 3 years of experience in PCB layout and design. You will work closely with hardware engineers to design multilayer printed circuit boards for high-performance electronics. This role requires a strong understanding of PCB manufacturing constraints, signal integrity, and design tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to develop PCB layouts based on schematics and mechanical requirements.
- Create complex, multilayer board layouts using industry-standard tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, KiCAD).
- Optimize layout for signal integrity, thermal performance, EMI/EMC compliance, and manufacturability (DFM/DFA).
- Maintain and manage component libraries.
- Generate fabrication and assembly documentation (Gerber, ODB++, BOM, Pick and Place files).
- Perform Design Rule Checks (DRC) and Electrical Rule Checks (ERC).
- Interface with PCB fabricators and assemblers during the development and production phases.
- Review and revise designs based on testing and feedback.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in PCB design.
- Proficiency with PCB CAD tools (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD, Cadence Allegro, KiCAD).
- Experience designing high-speed digital, analog, or mixed-signal boards.
- Familiarity with standards such as IPC-2221, IPC-7351.
- Strong understanding of DFM/DFA, signal integrity, and thermal considerations.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
