Piping Material Engineer (5-9 yrs)
- Key areas to consider, some of these skills should be mandatory.
- Pressure drops and flow calculations
- Pipe sizing and velocity analysis
- Hydraulic analysis for pump and valve sizing
- Material selection and corrosion analysis
- Pipe wall thickness and pressure rating calculations
- Thermal expansion and support design
- Standards and code compliance (ASME, API, etc.)
Key Performance Indicators:
- Sound piping background and fully conversant with engineering practices.
- Experience in oil & gas process plant design and petrochemical engineering background is an advantage.
Software Tools:
- Advanced Excel skills
- AutoCAD Plant 3D or experience with any piping 3D modeling tools
- Navisworks
- Hydraulic calculation software skills
Discipline: Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering
