Planning Engineer - Oil & Gas (10-12 yrs)

Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Planning Engineer who can drive schedule performance and execution excellence across large-scale Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, or Fertilizer projects.

If you understand construction realities as well as you understand Primavera- this role is for you.

What You'll Do :

- Develop and maintain detailed Level 3/4 construction & commissioning schedules

- Track daily, weekly, and monthly site progress

- Measure physical progress using EVMS or planned vs actual

- Analyse schedule deviations and forecast slippages with mitigation plans

- Coordinate with construction, engineering, procurement & commissioning teams

- Interface with subcontractors for aligned work fronts

- Lead planning discussions in daily/weekly coordination meetings

- Maintain baseline schedules and monitor all impacts or changes

- Support TIA / EOT claim preparation

- Prepare S-curves, histograms, KPIs, DPRs, DMRs

- Generate project-level P&L insights, resource loading, and cost- schedule integration

- Present planning updates in progress review meetings with clients/stakeholders

What We- re Looking For:

- BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

- 10+ years of planning experience in Oil & Gas EPC/PMC projects (site-based preferred)

- Strong expertise in Primavera P6, MS Project, MS Excel

- Solid understanding of construction workflows, CPM, resource loading & project lifecycles

- Experience in refineries, terminals, offshore, pipelines, or similar environments

- Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills

- Accurate, updated project schedules

- Early warnings on delays- with actionable mitigation

- Clear critical paths and execution priorities

- Integrated cost- schedule insights (EV-based, if required)

- Strong alignment across multidisciplinary teams
