JOB TITLE : Planning Executive- Carton Line.

REPORT TO : Production In-charge - Carton Line

FUNCTION : Technical

LOCATION : Packaging and Printing Factory, Haridwar.

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

To plan all the activities and jobs in order to co-ordinate all the activities involved in the process of manufacturing &dispatch of all the products.

DIMENSIONS:

Position Planner for the Carton Module.

Planning & Reviews Supply Chain Management (SCM), Material Management & Inventory Control, Capacity Planning, Production Planning & Control, Scheduling, MIS & Performance Analysis.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

- To prepare Master Production Schedule (MPS) for production planning &scheduling of jobs.

- To finalize the delivery targets for the week.

- To re-align production &marketing priorities on daily basis.

- To effectively translate sales forecast into monthly production plan.

- To track the orders for the said target with marketing.

- Capacity Planning along with the Master Production Schedule (MPS).

- To ensure availability of materials as per the master plan.

- RM Procurement - Projection / BOM wise Indenting.

- Specification wise BOM & Inventory Analysis

- On Time in Full (OTIF) deliveries.

- To cater both long and short runs.

- Material Management -Reducing lead times & utilizing JIT Concept.

- Preventive & Corrective Actions to minimize wastage.

- MIS (Order Analysis & Machine Performance Report).

- To lead 5S & LEAN initiatives at the shop floor and can train others.

- To co-ordinate with marketing and production team.

- To understand the machine capacity vs demand analysis.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Knowledge

- Production Management, Material Management, Inventory Analysis and Dispatch related activities.

- In depth knowledge of the carton packaging line and machines (all processes like - pre make ready / printing / lamination / cutting and creasing / folding & gluing)

- Man, machine, method, material handling and control.

- Productivity strategies in line with quality systems & procedures.

- Processing parameters linkages in relation to product quality.

- Knowledge of MS office and operating systems.

Knowledge of ERP modules would be an added advantage.

Qualification / Experience

- B. Tech. Printing & MBA in Operations / Planning Management with 4-6 years of experience in Carton line packaging and printing industry.

- IIP & MBA in Operations / Planning Management with 3-5 years of experience in Carton line packaging and printing industry.
