Job Description - Planning Manager (Construction)

Key Responsibilities :

1. Project Planning & Scheduling :

- Develop detailed project schedules using MSP / Primavera (P6).

- Prepare baseline programs, resource loading, and project master plans.

- Track project progress, identify delays, and propose recovery plans.

- Coordinate with site teams to ensure planned vs actual alignment.

2. Monitoring & Control :

- Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports (WPR/MPR).

- Monitor project milestones, critical paths, and productivity.

- Conduct delay analysis and update schedules accordingly.

- Track material, manpower, and machinery deployment vs plan.

3. Billing & Quantity Management (If applicable)

- Support billing team with quantities, BOQ verification, RA bills tracking.

- Coordinate with QS team for cost planning and budget monitoring.

4. Coordination & Documentation :

- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams.

- Ensure planning documents, drawings, and revisions are properly updated.

- Attend progress review meetings and present planning data.

Key Skills Required :

- Strong expertise in MS Project / Primavera P6.

- Knowledge of construction methodologies (Civil/MEP).

- Experience in planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring.

- Good analytical, communication, and coordination skills.

- Understanding of contracts, BOQ, and project budgets.

Qualification & Experience:

- Diploma/ B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.

- Experience in high-rise buildings, industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects (as applicable).
