He is responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations to ensure safe, efficient, and profitable manufacturing.

1. Operations Management
- Oversee daily production activities to ensure output meets quality, quantity, and cost targets.
- Optimize resource utilization (manpower, machinery, materials).
- Strengthened the Production Planning and Control section of the Plant.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement techniques.
- Manage preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
- Actively involved in New Product Development to meet the market requirements, optimize raw material costing and increasing value to the Customers.
2. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
- Ensure plant complies with local, national, and international regulations (e.g., pollution control, hazardous materials handling).
- Lead safety audits, risk assessments, and corrective action plans.
3. Quality Assurance
- Implement and maintain quality control systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM).
- Work closely with QA/QC departments to address quality deviations or customer complaints.
- Instrumental in substantial reduction of Customer Complaints by committed focus on quality and consistency.
4. Financial Performance
- Manage plant budgets, cost control, and capital expenditures.
- Responsible for evaluating the Customer wise P&L on monthly basis
- Drive cost reduction initiatives in energy, materials, and labor.
- Monitor KPIs such as OEE, yield, scrap rate, etc.
5. Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, quality, logistics, etc.
- Recruit, train, and develop talent within the plant.
- Foster a high-performance, safety-first culture.
6. Strategic Planning
- Align plant operations with company goals and business strategies.
- Participate in long-term capacity planning, technology upgrades, and automation initiatives.
- Drive innovation in production techniques and product development.
7. Supply Chain & Inventory
- Coordinate with supply chain teams to manage raw material sourcing, inventory control, and on-time delivery.
- Optimize logistics to ensure smooth inbound and outbound flow.
8. Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with corporate leadership, customers, suppliers, and government authorities.
- Represent the plant in audits, reviews, and official inspections.
Qualification & Experience
- Graduate /Post Graduate in Mechanical/ Metallurgical Engineering
- 15+ years of experience in manufacturing or production operations
- At least 5 years in a leadership/plant management role
- Direct experience in the metal industry (e.g., foundry, steel rolling, fabrication, forging, or metal components)
- Proven track record in managing:
- Large teams
- Complex machinery
- Compliance-heavy environments
