Position Purpose---
The Plant Head (site) is a leadership role involved in the planning, coordinating and controlling of manufacturing processes at site. The role is responsible for efficient and timely production by strict monitoring of targeted production as per business plan and also adhering to Quality and EHS norms.
Strategic Responsibilities :
1- Oversee the Production process and plan optimum use of available production facilities to ensure on time delivery of products
2- Ensure cost effective production by efficient utilization of manpower, utility, raw materials etc.
3- Report to Site Head on the status of Legal Compliance and apprise him of its implication on business
Operational Responsibilities :
1- Ensure fulfilment of market/customer requirement by producing right quality of material as per business plan
2- Ensure adherence to Quality and EHS standards and policies at site
3- Monitor consistency in mass balance to deliver right yield and waste generation
4- Ensure proper upkeep of-
a- Plant machineries and effective running of environmental measures
b- Tank farm area
c- Pipe rack and pipeline in the vicinity of the plant so that there is proper flow of chemicals
4- Lead all measures required for maintaining various ISO-systems as per schedule
5- Provide assistance for maintaining safe and efficient operations with respect to-
6- Unit operation of distillation, Filtration (ANF & CF), drying (RVD & Rotocone), screening, pulverising, absorption and scrubbing
7- Properties, hazards and control measures associated with hazardous substances in the plant
8- Process safety and quality of respective products
9- Impart proper knowledge about processes and hazards of unit process like chlorination, aminolysis, sulfonation, hydrogenation, catalytic reactions etc. to the team
10- Monitor the loading and unloading process for all the material related to plant
11- Ensure proper recording and analysis of incident/accident/first-aid/near misses to minimize risk at shop floor
Financial Responsibilities :
1- Manage the RMC and waste generation as per budget
2- Minimize off-spec generation and extra samples
3- Optimize overtime generation by proper leave/shift planning
4- Develop KPIs to measure the performance of Shift executives at Site to ensure high productivity
5- Ensure achievement of cost saving initiatives to achieve targeted savings in time frame

2- Facilitate initiatives for training need identification and building requisite skills & competencies through systematic training & skill-upgradation initiatives for the team
