Plant Head - Automotive Electronics Products (15-25 yrs)

Position: Head, Production

Summary:

This role requires the Production Head to oversee an already-established plant at Chakan, Pune for automotive electronics products supplied to major OEMs of the country. The production process involves PCB assembly and box-build through world-class SMT line and post-SMT equipment and processes.The incumbent will be responsible for all three aspects of the supply chain, as in- Delivery, Quality and Cost, for the customers. This responsibility entails leading day-to-day supervision of functions of process engineering, production, quality assurance led by individual managers and of coordination with Materials. The overall objective is to meet the business goals of the organization by means of customer satisfaction. The incumbent will also be responsible for the industrial relations, safety & regulatory compliance of the plant.

Education:

Bachelor (must) or Masters (preferred) in Management studies

Experience:

1. 15+ Years in Operations preferably in electronic assembly industry / automotive domain. Concession shall be made in experience for candidates with excellent education background

2. 2+ Years in a demonstrated leadership role leading a team of experienced managers

3. Demonstrated leadership in handling customer demands and requirements for the delivery, quality & product service.

Key responsibilities:

1. Lead diverse range of all electronic PCB manufacturing activities such as evaluation of strategic plans, process, capacity planning, process control, materials planning & purchase, inventory control, cost management, quality assurance and deliveries, HR planning

2. Establish new manufacturing facilities to achieve commercial stabilization within given short cycle by cost control, technological up-gradation and facilitating product development

3. Maintain internal MIS for regular monitoring of cost and production

4. Handle & maintain healthy industrial relations, work discpline and industrial safety

5. Team mentoring: Engage in and lead talent acquisition, retention and mentoring

6. Identifying training and growth plans for team members. Spend time in educating & training the team

Skills:

1. Solid understanding of overall manufacturing, engineering issues/needs, finance, sales, supply chain, HR, QMS and marketing as related to electronic controls product development

2. Self-driven, highly motivated, flexible and high capacity to learn

3. Demonstrated team building and leadership skills

4. Demonstrated ability to deliver results while working on multiple projects simultaneously, balancing resources, timing and quality of outcomes

5. Excellent spoken & written communication skills
