Plant Head - Heavy Industry (10-20 yrs)

Job Description :


- Responsible for directing all plant activities related to production, maintenance of plant and machineries, scrap processing, refractories lining life, quality control, billet shipment, facility maintenance, housekeeping, shutdown planning, creating safe working environment as per HSE policies and procedures, ensure operations are as per the guidelines of environmental, civil defense and such other local agencies

- Responsible for delivering agreed monthly and annual budgeted/forecast production targets.

- Ensure efficiency and consistency in production

- Manage and ensure adequate resource availability at optimum cost, effective resource utilization and removal of barriers where appropriate

- Maximize availability and productivity of plant and machinery through minimizing downtime in accordance with agreed month/annual targets

- Responsible for managing cost of production within budgeted/forecast parameters for all consumption heads

- Prepare, present and discuss trend analysis through financial and non-financial data across the plant, with recommendations for improvement

- Ensure continuous production plans are developed and submitted to COO for approval

- Communicate effectively with team members about quality standards, safe working environment, state of business, policy and procedures, and agreed production targets

- Workforce & backlog planning

- Budget planning/forecasting; develop continuous improvement methodologies

- Ensure availability of spares and materials in coordination with the stores and procurement departments

- Plan and execute preventive maintenance and shutdown activities with the team and senior management
