Plant Head - High-Precision Friction Solutions Manufacturing (10-15 yrs)

One of the largest projects of the Company, located at Hyderabad


Role : Plant Head

Responsibilities :

1.1 Organize and manage all activities related to production, maintenance, and dispatch and product development in the factory.

1.2 Preparation of production Plan, Bill Of Materials, Material procurement plan, shipment plan, Maintenance Plan and execution thereafter.

1.3 Control and monitor of all the regulatory documents on day to day basis and provide necessary information to Executive Director.

1.4 Communicate with Commercial for procurement of raw materials, consumables, spare and with Engineer Design and quality for Quality control of Raw materials, finished goods and design and drawing requirements. Communicate with Manager HR of IR needs and with Marketing for product development, Manufacturing and dispatch schedules. Assist Marketing to achieve the sales

1.5 Verification of jobs completed by contractors and vendors.

1.6 Maintain all records of production and maintenance department at factory level.

1.7 Plan and execute of local purchase as per factory needs.

1.8 Prepare WIP status, MIS and DSR report and communicate to Executive Director.

1.9 Work distribution, Delegation of responsibilities in effective way to reduce stacking of jobs and documents. Updating documents up to the date for MIS.

1.10 Prepare cost reduction plans. Setting the targets and project them in weekly production meeting. Prepare manufacturing database related to manufacturing and costing.

1.11 Meet manufacturing requirements in time for Telecom Sectors and Non Telecom sectors. Communicate with INFRA division of TNS and DGM Marketing to execute their requirements.

1.12 Communicate with Commercial department (corporate) for material requirements and follow up of the requirements from factory level after Purchase order.

1.13 Gear up the team to meet monthly targets.

1.14 Monitor dispatches up to the destination. Collect information of shortages due to theft

1.15 Motivation, training, high commitment level development and appraisal of the staff down line.

1.16 The targets are to gear up factory production to its Max capacity with high motivation and commitment level of staff and reduce DSWW (Downtime, Scrap, Waste and Warranty returns (rework)), provide proper information everyday of routines and development jobs in proper formats for management information.

1.17 In addition to the above you have to integrate your and your team's creativeness for the growth of company in terms of productivity, cost savings, new business development and flexibility. This will be achieved by implementing 5S, KAIZEN, Lean manufacturing management etc.

9. Audits, Improvements and Suggestions

9.1 Ensure that checks and audits are being done routinely as per audit program shared by HO. Audit reports are compiled and shared with HO. Necessary corrective action is initiated to overcome the deficiencies observed in audits.

9.2 Quality and EHS audits are conducted by PMs as well as coordinators periodically. Implement corrective action findings into your zonal system.

9.3 Take suggestions from the Zonal teams and share with HO team for better improvements and efficiency & effectiveness enhancement.

9.4 Time to time recognize your team for good work and reward them.
