Job Description :
AGM/DGM- Logistics
- Responsible for entire dispatches of Road & Rail.
- Looking out Railway dispatches as well and dealing with Railways senior authorities.
- Liaison with Railways (Operating & Commercial)
- Freight controlling i.e minimizing the freight cost associated with the movement on Road.
- Following with Transporters for the Orders to get executed.
- Following with Marketing Team for any issues with the Orders and unloading issues.
- Responsible for not getting any complaints from Marketing Side on Dispatches.
- Strong analytical & problem solving skills related to Dispatches.
- Look out the day to day monitoring of stocks of raw materials like Gypsum, Fly Ash, Coal, Pet coke & Pop waste
- Following for payment of raw material from Accounts Department.
- Liaising with our vendors for smooth operations.
- Checking out the Purity of Gypsum & Fly Ash.
- Following with transporters for boost up the dispatches.
- Circulating Tenders and opening Tenders with the Tender committee members of Plant for change in freights for Cement & Raw Material.
- Spreading awareness to Drivers & Transporters on Road Safety issues.
- To prepare Dispatch plan based on inventory at Depot/Transit/Requirement
- Ensuring Quality dispatches & controlling Secondary freight.
- Effective Monitoring of Logistics Cost
- Following with C& F agents and M.O's for issues related to warehouse.
- Appointment of Handling Agents & Transporters.
- Gathering & analyzing Policies & Practices of Competitors.
- Review of Existing Godown location to meet desired service level at optimum cost.
- Depot and Warehouse Management
- Monthly stock reconciliation
- Documentation & MIS
