Plant Head - Operation - API Plant

Basic responsibilities include :

- Lead government and customer audits and site visits at plant

- Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers and regulators expectations

- Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP pharma) standards

- Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping

- Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets

- Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions

- Collect and analyses data to find places of waste or overtime

- Commit to plant safety procedures

- Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, have strong documentation abilities

- Address employees- issues and potential unionization challenges

Basic requirements include :

- Minimum of 15-20 years of experience in regulated active pharmaceuticals ingredients manufacturing environments.

- Candidate with experience in the US or Western Europe is preferred.

- A strong regulatory audit tract record, with specific reference to successful USFDA audits

- Working knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources)

- Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise (pharmaceutical/chemical reactors, drying equipment, powder processing equipment, pharma plant automation, pharma quality labs)

- Educational background in chemical engineering, pharmaceuticals, process engineering, or chemistry
