we are looking for a plant Head for our client who are in Pharma packaging, Products such as rubber stoppers, flip off seals,oral dosing, springs,caps,spoons, droppers, shampoo & syrup bottles,caps.

Title / Grade: Assistant General Manager / Deputy General Manager(Plant Head)
SBU / Location: Chhindwara (Maharashtra)
Department: Operations
Reports To: Director
Work Experience:15- 30 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Education: Bachelors/Masters in Engineering, Production, or related field; MBA is a plus.
Preferred Industry: Manufacturing OR Pharmaceutical Packaging /Medical Device / Rubber and Plastic Manufacturing only.
Summary: Plant Head is responsible for overall leadership, strategy, and operational excellence of the manufacturing facility. This role ensures production efficiency, quality compliance, cost optimization,safety, and alignment with the organizations strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee end-to-end manufacturing operations, including planning, scheduling, production, and dispatch.
- Ensure production targets are met while maintaining quality standards.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma) to enhance efficiency.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for productivity, wastage, and cost.
- Ensure strict adherence to quality standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure environmental, health, and safety compliance throughout the plant.
- Prepare and manage the manufacturing budget.
- Optimize resources including manpower, raw materials, and machinery utilization.
- Reduce operational costs while maintaining quality and efficiency.
- Lead, mentor, and develop factory managers, supervisors, and staff.
- Drive a high-performance culture through goal setting, appraisals, and training.
- Foster employee engagement and teamwork across departments.
- Collaborate with senior management on strategic initiatives, capacity expansion, and process optimization.
- Provide timely reports on production, quality, inventory, and operational issues to top management.
- Manage facility liasoning work with local authorities and regulatory bodies for factory amendments, licenses, and approvals.
- Ensure coordination with internal teams (Engineering, Quality, HR, Finance) for timely execution of amendment-related activities.
- Drive initiatives that support company goals and compliance with statutory and operational requirements.
Required Skill Set:
- Bachelors/Masters in Engineering, Production, or related field; MBA is a plus.
- 15-30 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, machinery, and industrial safety.
- Proven leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team management abilities.
Criteria:
Minimum Age: 40+ years
Minimum Workforce Managed: 400+ employees.
