Plant Installation & Commissioning Technician (3-4 yrs)
Responsibilities for Plant Installation and Commissioning Technician :
- Testing equipment on site
- Making improvements to and offering advice about operational procedures
- Creating and implementing test procedures
- Investigating problems, diagnosing and repairing faults
- Liaising with clients and installation/project engineers
- Supervising engineering and technical staff
- Gathering and analysing performance and safety data
- Writing reports & documentation
- Providing technical support
- Ensuring safe working conditions
- Training maintenance & operative staff
- All other duties as relevant to the post
Requirements for Plant Installation and Commissioning Technician :
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Degree/diploma in mechanical engineering
- Technical expertise (in test, design, development & operations
- Mathematical skills and ability to apply them to solve problems
- Sound IT and analytical skills
- Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
- An understanding of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards
- Commercial awareness
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Leadership and managerial skills
- Team working skills
- The ability to work well under pressure and deal with unexpected change
- Ability to cope with shift work and unsociable hours especially around project deadlines or if a client site is in continual operation
- Open to travel outside city
