Plant Manager (12-24 yrs)
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage daily operations of the manufacturing plant, covering production, maintenance, quality, and logistics.
- Achieve production goals while optimizing cost, safety, and quality standards.
- Guide, mentor, and inspire the plant team to foster a high-performance culture.
- Drive process enhancements through lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement practices.
- Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, and sales teams to ensure smooth material flow and product dispatch.
- Control operational budgets, including workforce, machinery, and raw materials.
- Ensure full compliance with legal and regulatory standards related to labor, environment, and safety.
- Focus on preventive maintenance strategies to reduce machinery downtime and enhance reliability.
- Track and analyze key performance metrics (OEE, rework, downtime) to implement corrective measures.
- Keep all plant records, logs, and documentation updated for audit readiness.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams on product innovation and process upgrades.
Required Skills:
- Proven leadership, decision-making, and analytical thinking abilities.
- Strong command over manufacturing operations, quality assurance, and workplace safety standards.
- Experience using ERP platforms like SAP or Oracle and production management tools.
- Exceptional communication and people management skills.
- Ability to respond effectively under pressure or during crisis situations.
- Thorough understanding of labor laws, statutory requirements, and compliance protocols
- Efficiency of production vs. targets
- Plant downtime and equipment uptime.
- Product rework and rejection rates.
- Cost per unit and total operational expenditure.
- Workplace safety and incident frequency.
- Workforce productivity and utilization.
- Audit compliance scores - both internal and external.
