Job Title: Plant Manager

Reports to: Vice President - Operations

Job Responsibilities:

(A) During Project Stage:

- Monitoring of Construction activities as per the schedule, coordination between PMC and Operations / Project Manager and status update on weekly basis;

- Proper filing and storage of all documents like drawings, manuals, layout, statutory approval, communication papers, equipment details, incoming materials, spare part list etc;

- Develop local vendors required - RM/PM/Maintenance.

- Understanding and functioning of Axapta.

- Implementation of corporate procedures related to projects and maintenance form beginning;

- Monthly MIS preparation;

- Liaising with local authorities and ensure compliances to statutory / legal requirements.

(B) Post completion of Project:

- Streaming the manufacturing operations and alignment with the procedures;

- Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries;

- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organisation standards;

- Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs, evaluating new equipment and techniques;

- Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment and resources;

- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed;

- Take all necessary actions to manage production costs and improve profitability;

- Exhibit strong leadership abilities, coach employees and recommend improvement plans with accountable for meeting the department production and quality goals;

- Manage, lead and be accountable for crew environmental, health and safety performance and practices;

- Effectively and consistently enforce workplace rules, policies, procedures and labour agreement as and when required;

- Plan, manage and execute departmental operating plans including scheduling for production and overtime;

- Maintain all quality, process, drawing up a production schedule;

- Ensuring that the production is cost effective;

- Making sure that the products are produced on time and are of good quality and ERP updating;

- Ensuring all legal compliance documents are updated periodically;

- Coordination with maintenance department to ensure preventive maintenance and avoid breakdowns;

- Coordination with logistics in production planning and arrangement of RM/PM;

- Estimating costs and setting in quality standards;

- Reviewing worker performance and KPIs monitoring;

- Identifying training needs;

- MIS preparation;

Qualification & Skills:

- Graduation in Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical Engineering;

- 8-10 years of experience of similar field, 2-3 years- experience as Plant manager;

- Good communication skills;

- Leadership;

- Planning and decision making;

- Conflict management and delegation;

- Knowledge of legal and statutory requirements related to plant operations.

- Strong working experience in Chemical/Construction Manufacturing field is mandatory.
