Plant/Operations Head (Manufacturing)

Responsible for overseeing all aspects of a manufacturing plant's operations to ensure efficient, safe, and profitable production. Managing production, quality, maintenance, safety, and compliance, while also leading and developing a team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Developing and implementing strategies to optimize production processes, meet production targets, and ensure timely delivery of products.

- Establishing and maintaining quality standards, implementing quality control measures, and ensuring products meet defined quality benchmarks.

- Overseeing the efficient use of resources like labor, materials, and equipment, and optimizing resource allocation.

- Ensuring adherence to all safety regulations, environmental guidelines, and legal requirements, as well as promoting a safe working environment.

- Managing plant maintenance, ensuring equipment reliability, and coordinating with the engineering team for new installations and upgrades.

- Leading, motivating, and developing the plant team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and performance.

- Identifying and implementing cost-saving measures, optimizing expenses, and managing the plant budget.

- Identifying areas for improvement in operations, implementing solutions, and driving efficiency gains.

- Collaborating with other departments, such as procurement, sales, and finance, and communicating with external stakeholders like regulatory bodies.

Qualification And Experience:

1. BE & MBA from Reputed Institute & B Schools with 20+ Extensive experience in a manufacturing environment, with progressively increasing responsibilities in plant management.

2. Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.

3. In-depth understanding of plant operations, production processes, and relevant technologies.

4. Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and implement effective solutions.

5. Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to ensure compliance.

6. Understanding of cost management, budgeting, and financial performance.
