Plant Quality Manager - Auto (8-15 yrs)

A leading auto component and precision engineered product mfg co.
Purpose of the role :
Responsible for the in-process & Final Quality of the Products for Pune plant.
Indicative JD given by the client as below :
1. Supplier quality Analysis and ensuring the quality of incoming materials
2. Initiatives to improve the incoming quality of the components
3. Responsible for the Product Audits in the BU
- Reviewing audit reports & Approvals
- Responsible for Dock audits in the BU
- Reviewing audit reports & Approvals
- Reviewing dummy run reports
4. Responsible for Product reliability in the BU
- Test plan monitoring
- Joint analysis
5. Responsible for APQP & PPAP activities in the BU's scope
- Control Plan Approvals
- Reviewing Lay out audit reports & approval
- Gauges approval
6. Customer complaints handling
- Root Cause analysis
- Corrective and preventive action Initiation
7. Analyzing Final rejection and approving corrective action
8. Professional Development of team members
The person for the role :
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Production/ Automobile / Electronics) with about 15 to 20 years of experience in Quality engineering with minimum 5 years in the managerial capacity in a auto component mfg preferably experienced electronics and instrumentation area.
- Expertise in quality process and systems in a manufacturing plant
- Excellence leadership capability to handle the plant quality team and be the guardian of quality mgmt for the plant.
